Artwork back story: In our opinion, the pigeon is a severely underrated bird that deserves way more appreciation. Do they toss a few scraggily twigs together and call it a nest? Yes. Do they have incredible homing ability and were they trusted to carry important messages across hundreds of miles throughout history? Also yes. Let's show some love for the common pigeon.

I drew this pigeon, originally with pen on paper, in the desert of California in 2024. This was actually the first piece of artwork I created with the intention of creating "Olive & Blueberry's Mercantile." So...she's pretty important. Her name is Abigale.

Care Instructions: Machine wash in cold water, inside-out with similar colours. Use colour-safe detergent. Important: As this tote bag is made from 100% natural cotton canvas, high temps (in a washer or dryer) will shrink this bag. If shrunk, it will still be useable and beautiful, but it will be noticeably smaller...you've been warned. 😉
